Doctors

Marianne Bailey, DVM

Marianne Bailey, DVM

Dr. Bailey is the owner of Queenstown Veterinary Hospital. She grew up in southern Maryland and completed grade school in Calvert County. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Auburn University and then a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine 4 years later. Her special interests include surgery and geriatric care.

Dr. Bailey understands that as pets age they require a different kind of veterinary care and the importance of wellness plans for geriatric pets.  Since graduating vet school, Dr. Bailey has been dedicated to making sure all geriatric dogs live comfortably in their senior years and enjoys working with owners to develop wellness plans to help pets live long, healthy lives. She also feels community involvement is very important and is working with her team of doctors and staff to develop free educational programs to help strengthen the human-animal bond our clients share.

Before coming to Queenstown Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Bailey worked in Anne Arundel County where she lives with her family and pets. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Maryland Veterinary Medicine Association (MVMA).  She founded the Eastern Shore Veterinary Medical Association in 2016 and continues to coordinate quarterly meetings.

Kathryn Harkins, DVM

Kathryn Harkins, DVM

Dr. Harkins knew from seventh grade that her calling was to be a veterinarian. Since then, everything she has accomplished has been for that purpose and she remains passionate about it still.

After graduating with both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Animal Science from North Carolina State University, she obtained her DVM from Kansas State University. She started practicing in New Hampshire after graduation and then moved closer to family in New Jersey and remained in practice there for numerous years. Dr. Harkins married a Marylander and came to the area to continue practicing.

Dr. Harkins feels her job is to educate her clients so as a team the best choices can be made for the optimal care of their pets. She very much enjoys keeping pets happy and healthy so they can be members of the family for as long as possible. Her particular interests include internal medicine and behavior and she has a particular soft spot for all felines.

Alina Zilevicius, DVM

Dr. Zilevicius joined Queenstown Vet as an Associate Veterinarian in 2026. She is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care for pets at every stage of life and building strong relationships with clients, helping them make informed decisions that support the lifelong bond they share with their pets.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Salisbury University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she practiced both general practice and urgent care. She is excited to be back in the Maryland area, where she grew up, serving the community she calls home.

She values partnering with pet owners to improve their pets' quality of life and believes that strong communication and trust are the foundation of exceptional veterinary care.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.
