While surgery can be scary for you as a pet owner, we take every precaution to make sure your pet is carefully monitored and safe while under anesthesia. An IV catheter is placed in every pet undergoing surgery and IV fluids are used to maintain blood pressure. Careful monitoring using EKG, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure monitoring are used with every pet. A veterinary technician is responsible for the monitoring throughout the entire procedure while a doctor focuses only on your pet.
From bladder surgery, tumor removals to more complicated procedures, our veterinarians are experienced and able to take care of your pet’s surgical needs. We will take the time to discuss possible complications with you as well as what to expect after a procedure. Every pet will also go home with the appropriate pain medications so that your pet will be comfortable at home.
