Join us for a free community presentation covering everything you need to consider before breeding your pet, what to expect during pregnancy, delivery of the litter and newborn puppy and kitten care. Dr. Nicole Fenner of Queenstown Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Elizabeth Callahan of Veterinary Medical Center will lead a discussion of:

  • preparing your pet for pregnancy, including ovulation timing and disease testing
  • breeding methods for your pet
  • when and why to consult your veterinarian
  • how to prepare for delivery
  • what can go wrong during delivery and how to prepare
  • caring for newborn puppies and kittens
  • when to schedule the first vet care visit
  • Q & A session with the doctors

Dr. Bailey appeared in WBOC's news story warning of the dangers dogs becoming ill after ingesting dark false mussels."Killer Mussels" Tied To Liver Failure in Dogs. There have been 24 cases of liver failure in dogs over the past three months. What they have in common is something called the false dark mussel. Read the article here.
